challenge.

Bissett Fasteners had an idea to launch a limited edition version of their flagship air tool—the 3190 framing nailer. All that they knew is that it would be matte black and that it would be called the Beast.

They needed packaging and possibly some promotional materials but didn’t quite know what they wanted other than that they needed the product & campaign to be a success.

strategy & solution.

Bare designed a packaging solution that would stand out against the competition, highlight their competitive advantages and professional quality while giving the feel of a special edition, limited run tool. Bare designed the packaging around the tool’s most unique selling proposition: the fact they were built and tested to work in extreme Canadian weather conditions as low as -30 degrees Celsius, and were guaranteed to keep working in these conditions for 6 years. Benefit and product feature icons that address common issues with lesser quality tools were also developed and prominently displayed.

Leading up to the launch of the tools, Bare created a series of intense and mysterious teaser videos to convey the message that “The Beast is Coming”. Post-launch videos were also produced to show the tool in action and to show off its technical features. The campaign, alongside sales efforts on behalf of the client, resulted in the entire stock of the tool selling out shortly after launch.

We love working with the team at Bare because they understand that it is a partnership that requires investment from both sides. Their design team took the time to understand our packaging needs so that they could develop a solution that effectively promotes our brand within the highly competitive pneumatic tool category. First rate group!
