challenge.

Bissett Fasteners had an idea to launch a limited edition version of their flagship air tool—the 3190 framing nailer. All that they knew is that it would be matte black and that it would be called the Beast.

They needed packaging and possibly some promotional materials but didn’t quite know what they wanted other than that they needed the product & campaign to be a success.

strategy & solution.

To meet the challenge, Bissett approached Bare to design a packaging solution that would allow Bissett’s tools to both catch the consumer’s eye in a crowded store aisle, and highlight their competitive advantages and professional quality. Bare designed the packaging around the tools’ most unique selling proposition: the fact they were built and tested to work in extreme Canadian weather conditions as low as -30 degrees Celsius, and were guaranteed to keep working in these conditions for 6 years. Benefit and product feature icons that address common issues with lesser quality tools were also developed and prominently displayed.

As part of the launch, Bare also created a supporting ad that dramatically shows how these tools are designed for the tough conditions Canadian professionals put their tools through.

We love working with the team at Bare because they understand that it is a partnership that requires investment from both sides. Their design team took the time to understand our packaging needs so that they could develop a solution that effectively promotes our brand within the highly competitive pneumatic tool category. First rate group!
