The Western Red Cedar Lumber Association, or Real Cedar, hoped to build awareness for WRC products during the planning stage of a project or renovation, generate sales, motivate buyers and inspire customer loyalty through a new television advertising campaign.
The “Nice deck, Dick” and “Sexy Siding, Sue” campaigns were designed to leverage the single most compelling reason for choosing Real Cedar: its natural beauty, and Bare did this by creating two ad campaigns that are impossible to forget.
Through creative copywriting and whole bunch of alliteration Bare’s “Nice deck, Dick” campaign won PLATINUM for Best Advertising Campaign in Hanley Wood’s 2019 Brand Builder Awards. To date, the video has been viewed over 2 million times on YouTube and just over 4 million times as paid FB and IG ads.
